Sharmila Devidoss, MD

My name is Dr. Sharmila Devidoss and I am a Nephrologist, otherwise known as a kidney specialist. I practice here in the great state of Texas, in the beautiful mid cities suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth. I am a leading consultant at several hospitals in the DFW metroplex, and I have an active dialysis and clinic practice. I completed my Nephrology fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA in 2006, and I am board certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. After having been in practice for more than twelve years, I opened Southlake Kidney Specialists to become the first Nephrologist based in Southlake.

My clinical focus encompasses acute and chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, metabolic bone disorders, anemia, dialysis, electrolyte disorders, dialysis, and pre and post kidney transplant care. I provide comprehensive treatment, including preventative care and health education. I take pride in providing the highest quality of care to my patients, and I have made it my mission to improve health literacy in my community. It is my strong belief that when patients are educated about their health, they can be empowered to be proactive in their journey to achieving optimal health. I encourage my patients to ask questions, and I am committed to addressing all concerns. I strongly believe that modifying thoughts, behavior, and lifestyle can produce positive health outcomes, and I lead by example. I realize that every patient is unique and thus every treatment plan should be individualized with consideration to other co-existing illnesses and issues. I encourage communication with primary care physicians and other specialists so that we can work as a team to optimize treatment. Early detection and treatment of kidney disease will ultimately result in reduced frequency and severity of kidney disease.

If you have any questions, or would like to make an appointment to speak to me directly, please call 817-233-6923. I would be honored to be your physician and look forward to accompanying you on your journey to kidney health and wellness!
